‘From the very start, we found Olga great to work with. Our house was a complete retrofit, from new floors and roof to new layouts, and extensions. Olga listened to our ideas, thoughts and concerns, and provided thoughtful suggestions, and was always calm and supportive. It was Olga’s idea to put 2 large skylights in our kitchen, making a dark space bright and airy. She was very careful to ensure that the house met planning guidelines, and her attention to detail was great. Olga also has a good eye for interior design, and helped us optimise the small spaces like bathrooms and utility rooms with clever ideas and pick out the right colours to suit the rooms. Our house came over budget (what house does not), but this was due to additional work, and Olga was great in helping us contain costs with practical suggestions. I found Olga via her work with the Simon Community and described the general idea I wanted. She took the idea and addressed issues like energy use, fire safety and lighting that I wasn’t able to see. Her design realised my ideas while making my home cheaper to heat, brighter and more welcoming.
